Making an Offering
The library is free, and it will stay free.
The spirit of it
Nothing in the library is locked behind an offering. Every book is open to every reader, whether they give or not. An offering is what the tradition calls dāna: a gift freely given, which honours the giver as much as the work. Each one is received with gratitude.
What an offering sustains
The writing and keeping of the canon. By the Record, the series reading Canada’s government against the public record. Project 2046, the work of building a reasoning system on verified foundations. And the preservation of the books themselves, through legal deposit with the national library and public archives, so that the work outlives its author.
How to give
Offerings are made through a paid subscription to The Vertical Dispatch, on Substack. You can choose monthly or yearly, at the amounts shown there, and you can cancel at any time.
What you receive
The Dispatch itself, as it is written: long-form essays on sacred metaphysics, governance and the questions of our time, published when they are ready. Nothing in the library becomes yours alone. That is the point.
Other ways to give
Not every offering is money. Read slowly. Share a book with someone who would value it. Write a note to say what a passage meant to you. Each of these keeps the work alive.
Opens The Vertical Dispatch on Substack in a new tab. Enter your email, then choose a paid plan, monthly or yearly. Offerings are not tax-deductible: Universal Dynamics Publishing is not a registered charity.
